Al Thomas A’s Defeat The BASE Behind Strong Performance From Devin Perlman


Devin Perlman was dominant on the hill, as the left-handed pitcher rang up 14 strikeouts in Al Thomas A’s's 8-4 victory over The BASE on Tuesday. Perlman gave up seven hits and four runs over six innings while walking three.


Tim Cooper tossed one inning of zero-run ball for Al Thomas A’s in relief. The reliever gave up zero hits and walking one.


ATBC flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the third, scoring six runs on four hits to take a 6-3 lead. The biggest blow in the inning was a fielder's choice by Ryan Vandette that drove in two.


ATBC piled up nine hits in the game. Jake Beane, Trevor Derochea, and Cam Plank each collected two hits for ATBC. Derochea went 2-for-3 at the plate as the outfielder led the team with three runs batted in. Al Thomas A’s had patience at the plate, tallying six walks for the game. Jacob Perez and Beane led the team with two walks each. ATBC turned one double play in the game in the 7th inning on a line drive back to Tim Cooper who doubled the runner out at first.


Next up for Al Thomas A’s is a game at Brighton Braves on Thursday.
