Al Thomas A’s Defeats Brighton Braves On Back Of Clutch Display From Trevor Derochea

Trevor Derochea drove in four runs on three hits to lead the Al Thomas A’s past Brighton Braves 6-5 on Tuesday. In the seventh inning, Derochea hit a grand slam to center field.


A solo home run to center field by Eduardo Colmenares put Al Thomas A’s on the board in the top of the first.


Brighton Braves took the lead in the bottom of the first w/ #24 homering to center field, scoring two runs, to give Brighton Braves the lead, 2-1.


Brighton Braves added one run in the third, scoring on a passed ball, making the score 3-1.


Al Thomas A’s flipped the game on its head in the top of the seventh, scoring five runs on four hits to take a 6-4 lead. The biggest blow in the inning was a grand slam to center field by Derochea that drove in four.


Devin Perlman led things off on the bump for Al Thomas A’s. The starting pitcher allowed four hits and five runs (three earned) over seven innings, striking out 14 and walking two.


Al Thomas A’s tallied 11 hits in the game. Jack Adgate collected two hits for Al Thomas A’s in three at bats.
